Iowa RESNET

You Have the Opportunity: Take Advantage of the Iowa RESNET!

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Mid-Iowa Community Action, Inc. (MICA) have teamed to implement a statewide rating system (called Energy Rated Homes of Iowa) that evaluates the energy efficiency of homes. Call one of the certified raters on the list today to see what a valuable sales tool the rating system can be for you!

Since the 1970s, states have tried to integrate energy efficiency into the housing finance, sales, and construction industries. Now, partners from the housing and energy efficiency industries, federal government agencies, and secondary mortgage market lenders have come together to form the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). RESNET members work together to overcome market barriers.

Energy Rated Homes of Iowa will connect you to this valuable source of the national information about energy efficiency ratings and mortgage loan underwriting. Membership in the Iowa RESNET will give you access to the latest energy developments at the national level and the initiatives Iowa home builders and lenders are taking to promote energy efficiency. You can join with other Iowa advocates of residential energy efficiency by returning this RESNET membership application and appropriate fee.
